MEMORIAL - BRO. OSWALD WALKER

Brother Oswald Walker was an esteemed leader within the New Wine Church Family.
He was the husband of Pastor Claudette Walker, our Assistant Pastor of New Wine East London.
Below is a short memoríal regarding Bro Oswald.
************
Uncle Ozzy as we fondly call him in New Wine East London, during his time here, walked among us with a quiet strength that needed no announcement. His hands were always working, his heart open, and his spirit tuned toward service. He lived as though helping others was not an act, but a calling woven into the very fabric of who he was. If someone needed support, he was there. He supported New Wine East London in every area he could. If a task needed doing, he stepped forward. If a burden needed lifting, he carried it without hesitation.
Even in moments when his body was weak, his commitment never wavered. He showed up sometimes tired, sometimes hurting, but always present. That alone was a sermon.
His life preached faithfulness more loudly than any words could. He gave generously, not only from his resources, but from his wisdom, his patience, and his deep well of compassion. His wisdom stood in a realm of its own— steady, balanced, and quietly profound. It was the kind of wisdom that didn’t demand attention, yet shaped the people around him.
In the music ministry, he served with a heart tuned to heaven. His presence was more than participation—it was encouragement, strength, and harmony in human form. He supported others with a gentleness that made them feel seen, valued, and capable. He never placed himself first. Instead, he lived as though others were the priority, as though humility was the highest form of leadership.
His life was a melody of service, sacrifice, and steadfast devotion. A quiet song that touched every soul who heard it. He reminded us that greatness is not found in being above others, but in kneeling beside them. That true strength is not loud, but consistent. And that a life lived for others is a life that echoes into eternity.
Sleep well, Bro Oswald Walker, in the loving presence of Jesus Christ, our Eternal King.
