SEYI OBAKIN
Seyi Obakin OBE is the Chief Executive of Centrepoint, the nation’s leading charity dedicated to ending youth homelessness. Since taking on the role in 2009, he has guided the organisation with exceptional vision — expanding its reach, strengthening its impact, and championing opportunities for vulnerable young people to secure housing, education, skills, and long‑term employment.
Beyond Centrepoint, Seyi serves as Chair of the Youth Futures Foundation, the UK’s What Works Center for Youth Employment, where he leads national efforts to improve employment outcomes for young people from marginalized backgrounds. His public service also includes roles with the London Fire Brigade, the Department for Work and Pensions, and several government advisory panels.
In recognition of his outstanding contribution to youth skills, employment, and homelessness, Seyi was awarded the Order of the British Empire in 2016, and in 2024, he received an honorary doctorate for his service to public life.
He is widely respected as a strategic thinker, a compassionate leader, and one of the most influential voices on youth homelessness in the UK today. Seyi Obakin is a committed Christian.
DAVID WALKER
David Walker is the Director of Work and Leadership at the London Institute For Contemporary Christianity [LICC].
Having read international business and French at the University of Plymouth, David spent the first half of his adult life working in Senior strategic leadership roles in the telecoms sector, for Cable & Wireless and the Orange Group, in Paris and London.
Not only did he really enjoy his work across different countries and cultures, but he also had a very clear sense of purpose as a whole-life disciple of Jesus. God then called him into ordained ministry, and he has spent the last years leading churches and equipping God’s people to be fruitful and faithful disciples in their everyday lives. He’s also served as a vicar. David is experienced in training people to find their God-given purpose in their work.
