Here, the Psalmist wrote an agonising, poetic prayer out of his feelings of affliction, overwhelm, despair, and anguish. However, verse 12 shifts course with the word “But”- because the Psalmist looked to the Lord and acknowledged that the set time for God’s mercy and favour had indeed come.
