The psalmist celebrates the wisdom that can be obtained from the Word of God, and he states the benefits of applying this wisdom. This theme is noticeable in verse 97 as the psalmist says, “Oh how I love your law!” He clearly treasured God’s Word and realised that meditating on it enabled him to gain wisdom, insight and understanding.
