SOLEMN ASSEMBLY MEETINGS

Join Us for Our Anniversary Week at New Wine Church!

We’re thrilled to announce that July marks six months into our fasted year at New Wine Church, and we’re celebrating with a special week of events under the theme, ‘A Call for a Solemn Assembly’ inspired by Psalm 85:1-13.

As we reach the mid-point of the year and celebrate the anniversary of New Wine Church in the last week of July, it is an opportune time to reflect on our journey and seek a deeper connection with God. In Psalm 85:1-13, the psalmist's prayer for restoration resonates deeply with our desire for revival, renewal, and reformation.

"Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?" (Psalm 85:6). This plea for revival is a call to reawaken our spiritual fervor. It reminds us of God's past mercies: "You forgave the iniquity of your people and covered all their sins" (Psalm 85:2). Remembering His faithfulness fuels our hope for a fresh outpouring of His grace and power.

Revival leads to renewal, a renewal that Psalm 85:10 describes beautifully: "Love and faithfulness meet together; righteousness and peace kiss each other." This renewal is a harmonizing of our hearts with God's will, where His love and righteousness refresh and restore our spirits.

Reformation follows, as we are called to transform our lives and align with God’s purposes. Romans 12:2 exhorts us, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." True reformation is evident in lasting change that impacts not only our personal lives but also our communities.

During this season, let us gather in a solemn assembly, unified in our pursuit of God’s presence. As we commemorate our church’s anniversary, we reflect on His past mercies and seek His forgiveness, inviting His transformative power into our midst. 2 Chronicles 7:14 promises, "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

May this time of solemn assembly usher in a new era of spiritual vitality, revival, renewal, and reformation, to the glory of God. May we be a church transformed by His grace, committed to living out His will in every aspect of our lives (Amen).
