YEMI OGUNKEYE

Opeyemi Ogunkeye, who works alongside Karen Ogunko, is the co-pastor of New Wine Church Dartford.

Opeyemi gave his life to Christ in August 1988 at Scripture Pasture Christian Centre, Ibadan, which he describes as the best decision he has ever made.
Shortly after Opeyemi gave his life to Christ in 1988, he got baptised in the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues. He describes this as the highlight of his Christian journey.

In the UK, Opeyemi served as a minister for 8 years at his former local church and as a pastor for 5 years at the same church. He joined New Wine Church in 2015.

Opeyemi’s passion is for missionary work. He believes that church and Christianity is beyond the four corners of a building and designed to impact and touch the lives of people in the community.
To express his passion for missions, Opeyemi is a member of a charity organisation set up by a medical doctor friend with other groups of doctors and professionals, doing amazing work in Africa, with medical missionary trips to Africa every year.

Opeyemi’s plan for the future is to get more involved in missionary activities and take Christ to the unreached people.

Opeyemi is married to Ishola Ogunkeye, and they are blessed with 2 wonderful children – Ayomide and Oluwadamilola. They are doing great things for the kingdom of God.
