YOUNG VOICES JUDGE - ANU OMIDEYI

Anu Omideyi is an award-winning international choir director, festival director, music director, producer, musician, singer-songwriter and public speaker.  

She is the Director of the National Gospel Music Centre based at Liverpool Lighthouse and Co-Chair of the Gospel Music Industry Alliance UK, where she is fulfilling her national mandates to develop Gospel Music within Christian and secular culture across the UK and beyond.

As part of her role at Liverpool Lighthouse, a music and arts venue with a focus on combining creativity, wellbeing, and community, she is the Founder and Festival Director of the Liverpool Gospel Music Festival. This is the UK’s biggest and first of its kind annual mainstream gospel music festival attracting thousands of Christians and non-Christians alike to celebrate and engage with gospel music.

Anu created the Gospel Music into Schools programme, a 6-week taster programme that takes gospel music and some of its rich history to secondary schools in Liverpool and is now made available to every school in the UK.

Anu was awarded a fellowship by RSL, the leading music accreditation body in the UK for her services to music.
